I have the birth certificate for the 'Louth'
William. He was born 8th August 1854 and was registered as plain 'William' .
The father was Thomas Bramhill (shoemaker) and the mother Elizabeth (formerly
'Wright'). They lived in Kidgate, Louth (could be 'Kirkgate' as the writing is
difficult to read).
I also have a marriage certificate for possibly
the same William Bramhill (aged 21) dated 5th Dec 1875. His profession is
'joiner' and he married Sarah Ann Johnson (aged 18) in the Baptist Chapel at
Louth. His father is shown as 'Thomas Bramhill, shoemaker' and hers as 'William
Johnson' whose occupation is 'Superintendent of Scavengers' - refuse collector in modern terms.
