John Thomas Bramhill was born December 4, 1884 – one of nine children 4 girls and 5 boys to Matthew Bramhill and Elizabeth Bent. They lived at Lot 21 Concession # 3 Minto Township.
John Thomas married Margaret Ellen Henderson (Born May 8, 1880) on December 23, 1910 and they resided in the town of Palmerston. He purchased Lot 17 & 18 on the 9th Con. Wallace Township from William Burns in 1913. John and Margaret continued to make improvements to the land and buildings. In the 1920s an area was cleared of willow swamp along the sideroad to make more land for hay and pasture. They had a mixed farming operation with a few cows, horses and chickens.
They had 2 daughters Edith Lauretta born June 6, 1912
and Cora Ann born January 27, 1915. Margaret Ellen died Oct 19, 1934 leaving
John Thomas with 2 daughters to raise and to work the farm.

Edith became a schoolteacher teaching at S.S. #8 Wallace
Township and in Elmira at Riverside Public and John Mahood Public Schools.
Edith taught for 40 years ending her career on December 31, 1971. She retired
to the town of Palmerston where she was involved with the Palmerston United
Church and also with the Retired Teachers Association. Edith died October
31, 1992
Cora Ann married Melvin Henry Schneider November 26, 1941. Then in 1942 John Thomas sold the farm to Cora and Melvin. John Thomas and Edith moved to the town of Palmerston where he worked as the arena manager and worked for the town, also did odd jobs for people and always had a large fruit and vegetable garden, which he sold to customers. John always had 4 gardens a season so there was always lots of produce to be sold.

This is the house on the Meredith Schneider farm that
Grandfather Tommy Bramhill lived in.
Cora and Melvin had a mixed farming operation and Melvin did custom threshing and was one of the first to have a combine. Cora Ann died October 26, 1971 and Meredith became owner of the farm Lot 17 & 18 in 1972. John Thomas died June 23, 1972.
Verna married James Metcalfe (born May 11, 1943) on September 8, 1967. He was policeman for the City of Waterloo, which was later known as the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. James retired from the police force March 31, 1993. Verna is working at the Wellesley Brand Apple Products. Verna and Jim have 3 children Kevin James born September 30, 1970, Jennifer Ann born August 23, 1973 and Scott Edward born December 22, 1975. Kevin owns Champion Logistics (trucking company) Jennifer works at Regal Capital Planners and Scott drives for Erb Transport in New Hamburg.

Meredith married Nancy Berlett (born August 28. 1951) on June 7, 1974.
Many improvements have been made to the farm – tiling the farm. A shop and implement shed was built in 1976 and 1994 respectively and the old summer kitchen was replaced in 1979. A Mennonite renovated the barn in 1981 and more renovations were done to the barn in 1986 & 1987 when the straw shed was converted to a nursery for sows in the upper level. Meredith was elected to township council on November of 1980, was deputy reeve and in July 1988 became Reeve. At present he is a councilor on the new government system of North Perth.
They have 4 children:
Angela Jane was born October 25, 1974. She is Assistant Manager at a Tim
Horton's outlet.
Jason Meredith was born September 25, 1975. He is a Millwright for Mitchell
Millwrights.
Paul Gordon was born December 10, 1979, and currently works at Dave Holiday
Ltd. a John Deere Co. Dealership.
Darrell John, born June 5, 1982, focuses his time on school and farming.
