Alice Elizabeth Ann Goodwin

            Alice was the eldest daughter of John Goodwin and Elizabeth Bramhill. She was born on 10 February 1876, at Palmerston, Ontario and Died on 25 December 1945, at Harriston, Ontario. Alice married Charles Henry Rayson, on 19 March 1905, the son of Henry Rayson and Jane Ann Stinson.   Charles was born 21 April 1870, and died 2 April 1938, Harriston, Ontario.

 

Their children were born in Harriston, Ont.

1.Unnamed Rayson, born 5 April 1906,

   Premature baby

 

2.Charles Auburn Rayson, born 28 May 1907, died 6 January 1945. He never married.

   Charles is buried at Harriston, Ontario.

 

3.Elsie Joy Rayson, born 1 July 1911, died 12 June 1988 at London, Ont. She married Harold Hughes on 14 September 1933.  They had two children.

        i. Douglas Edward Hughes, born 1 Jan 1934, married Patricia Wright. They had no family.

        ii. Barbara Lois Hughes, born 20 May 1936, married Dave Martin, 7 Feb 1959. He was born on 26 Sept 1930 in Toronto, Ont.   They had one child

                  *Barbara Elizabeth Martin, born, 25 July 1961 in Toronto, Ontario. .

    

            After Elsie Joy Rayson and Harold Hughes, divorced, she married Floyd Walters on 23 March 1957.  Floyd was born 14 February 1914, died 4 January 1989.   They didn’t have any children.

Elsie Joy Rayson suffered from a stroke that left her completely paralysed only her eyes were able to move.  She died later of heart failure.

 

4.Ruth Eileen Rayson, born 28 December 1914, died 10 January 1915 at Harriston, Ont.
