June 1, 1900 in Epworth, Lincolnshire and died in October of 1975 in Doncaster,
England.
He married Kathleen Temperton in May of 1932 at Sturton le Steeple,
Nottinghamshire.

John Bramhill worked on the railroad all his life starting as a clerk at the age of 15 at Eastoft Station, Yorkshire. He progressed through the ranks to Station Master at Luddington Station around 1932. In 1939 he became Station Master at Whitworth Station, Lancashire and before retirement in 1961 he was Station Master in Charge of Shawclough, Broadley, Whitworth and Facit.

Peter John Bramhill is the son of John James Bramhill and traces his
ancestry back through Walter--John--Matthew--John--Thomas--Thomas to John
Bramhill on "The Bramhills of Epworth" family tree.
Peter was born on June 18, 1933 at Luddington Railway Station in
Luddington, Yorkshire. He started school at the Luddington village school when
his father's job took him to Lancashire. He went to Tonnecliffe Council School
in Whitworth, Lancashire then Heywood Grammer School in Lancashire. He then
took a Bachelor of Science Degree course at Manchester University graduating in
1955.
Peter’s carreer as an engineer took him to many great companies in
England.

1960 - English Electric Aviation - Warton Aerodrome, Lancashire
1965 - Rolls Royce Aero Engine Division - Derby, England
1968 - Cammel Laird, Shipbuilders - Birkenhead, Merseyside, England
1971 - British Steel Corporation - Rotherham, England
1980 - Torque Tension Limited - manufacturers of mining and quarrying
equipment.
1985 - Central Electricity Generating Board - Drax Power Station - East
Yorkshire
1988 - Opened Abbeydale Hotel in Chesterfield, Derbyshire
1998 - Retired and sold Abbeydale and opened Rose Cottage Bed and
Breakfast
On November 4, 1961 Peter married Jennifer Hampson at Swinton Parish
Church, Swinton, North Lancashire. They had 3 children:

Jennifer passed away on May 12, 1982 in Carlton in Lindrick,
Nottinghamshire.
On December 30, 1985 Peter married Marjorie Eleanor Gradden at Worksop,
Nottinghamshire.
Peter and Marjorie currently live near
Chesterfield, Derbyshire, which is about 40 miles (65km) from Epworth. They own
and operate a Bed & Breakfast called Rose Cottage Guest House.

The
Rose Cottage Guest House
Rose Cottage is situated on Derby Road - between
Chesterfield and Clay Cross. The cottage is at least 200 years old and is set
back from the road with ample parking space. Peter and Marjorie Bramhill are
your hosts, and they converted three rooms for Bed and Breakfast use in 2000.
Two of the rooms have new ensuite bathrooms - one with shower and one with bath
and shower. The other room has its own private, adjacent bathroom. All
bathrooms have shaver sockets and all bedrooms have the usual tea and coffee
tray, colour TV and hairdryer. There are two king-size double bedrooms and one
twin bedded room.
