Gardham Bramhill
Gardham
Bramhill, fourth child of Jonathan and Ellen Bramhill, was
born September 28, 1845 in Swinefleet. He died July 17, 1921 and is buried at
Crowle Cemetery. He married Alice
Ridsdale.

Gardham’s wife, Alice Ridsdale passed away on October
14, 1944 in Ealand, North Lincolnshire. The following is her obituary.
Jean Hewitt, a descendant of Gardham Bramhill through
Harry, provided this copy of Alice’s obituary. She found it while going through
her mother's old family photos. There among the obituaries was one for Alice
Bramhill, widow of Gardham Bramhill.
She died, aged 92, at Ealand Crowle.

My Grandfather Harry Bramhill lived during his early
married life in Normanby and also lived, I believe, on Scotter Road Scunthorpe,
Crosby Le Moor farm, Gunness and Keadby, where he lived with my Auntie Ena and
Ben Jacobs her husband. He was a farm foreman.
He died in 1967 and according to his gravestone in
Burton on Stather graveyard was 80 years old.
Therefore, he would have been born around 1887. His wife's name was Ada,
died aged 41 in 1930 - same grave. They had 3 children. Ida, Ena and Harry, my father. Harry, my
father, was born in 1916 and died in 1997 and was the youngest.
There is a Harry born in 1887 showing in the Birth
Registration Index of 19th Century Bramhills.
However, I can find no record of a Harry born in 1887 on the Census
1901.
There is a Gardham Bramhill (wife Alice) who had 4
children, named in the Chapter 12 Jonathan Bramhill Descendants. One of these children was Harry but no
mention of him after that.
I have only recently begun my search but if anyone can
help I would be grateful.

information. Harry died in 1967 and according to his gravestone in Burton on
Stather he was 80, making his birthdate1887. Harry's wife's was Ada, and she
